Viola gray is a
perennial herb with a 5-10cm height, growing in sandy soil on
seashores. Like many other beach plants, rhizomes, the underground
roots, are long and robust. Leaves are thick, glossy, 1.5-3cm in
diameter, and broad-heart-shaped. Flowers: petals measure 1.5-3cm
long; side petals without hair; spurs are approximately 5mm long and
white. Bloom time: April to May. |
