Viola kusanoana
is a perennial herb that inhabits fields and mountains; it is
slightly larger than the widely spread and common species, Viola
grypoceras, and features a distinctive white spur. In a concentric
shape, the leaves are 3-5cm long, and the veins sink. Light purple
flowers, each measuring approximately 2-2.5cm in diameter, are
slightly larger than those of V. grypoceras. They are pale purple,
with no hairs on the side petals. Bloom time: April-May. |
