Viola kusanoana is
a perennial herb inhabiting fields and mountains; the whole is a bit
bigger than the widely-spread-common species, Viola grypoceras, and
a white spur characterizes this species. In a concentric shape, the
leaves are 3-5cm long, and veins sink. Light purple flowers, each
measuring approximately 2-2.5cm in diameter, a bit larger than V.
grypoceras, are pale purple, the side petals with no hairs. Bloom
time: April-May. |
