Viola minor is a
miniature perennial found around where people reside, on roadsides,
railroad sides, and lawns, where the land is sunny and semi-arid.
Leaves in bloom time are narrowly triangular with shallowly
heart-shaped bases; the backsides purplish, and no wings on
petioles. Flowers are dark blue-purple, measuring 1-1.5cm in
diameter; the side petals have hairs at the bases, the petioles have
no wings, and the spurs are elongated. Bloom time: March-May. |
