Youngia japonica
is an annual or biennial herb found on roadsides, in parks, or on
corners of gardens. The whole is soft, with hairs, and cutting stems
or leaves lead white milk to discharge. Radical leaves arrange
themselves in rosettes, 8-25cm long, 1.7-6cm wide, and pinnately
deeply cleft in lobes. The terminal one is triangular-ovate with
round tips. On-stem leaves are relatively pointed at lower parts,
while upper-part leaves are fewer in number and small-sized. Stem
tips set 7-8mm-in-diameter yellow flower heads in a corymb way.
Bloom time: May-October. |
