Euphrasia insignis ssp. iinumae var. kiusiana is
a miniature annual that grows in sunny grasslands or forest edges.
Stems erect, and leaves without petioles are of opposite phyllotaxis,
narrowly lanceolate to broadly ovate, with 2-6 pairs of sharp
serrations on margins. Axils on upper parts bear inflorescences that
set flowers with no peduncles; calyxes are bell-shaped, cleft in
four, and corollas are labiate, with upper lips cleft in two and the
lower ones in three. Bloom time: July-October. |
