Eusteralis stellata is
annually found in rice fields and, occasionally, lowland wetlands.
Stems stand 15-50cm, sending out many branches on the way, with
leaves in whorls of 3-6, without petioles. The leaves are linear,
2-5cm long, 0.5cm wide, with sharp or obtuse tips and no serrations
on margins. Stem and branch tips are 2-5cm long, 0.4-0.5cm across
racemes, and densely set approximately 0.2 cm-in-diameter white or
light red flowers. Bloom time: August-October. |
