Indigofera pseudo-tinctoria
is a 40-80cm tall perennial herb-like small shrub growing in
colonies in sunny, somewhat dry areas like grasslands, riverbanks,
roadsides, etc., with sparse adpressed hairs. Leaves are of an
imparipinnate compound leaf; leaflets, 7-13 in number, 0.8-1.5cm
long, oblong-shaped. Axils emerge 4-10cm long racemose
inflorescences and densely set light red-purple flowers. The flowers
bloom, rising from bottom to top. Bloom time: July-September. |
