Ischaemum
aristatum var. glaucum is a perennial herb, 30-70cm in
height, occurring in sandy soil on shores or wetlands near the
seashores. Stems, slender, grow in clusters. Leaves are 15-30cm
long, 0.5-1cm wide, in a linear shape, and hairless or with sparse
hairs. Ligules are short. Inflorescences measure 4-7cm long and 5mm
wide, and spikelets are 5-6mm long, in a broad lanceolate shape,
with no awns. Bloom time: July-November. |
