Juncus leschenaultii:
A perennial plant that occurs in wetlands or along the water's edge,
the stems are flat with narrow wings, growing to 20-40cm in height.
Leaves are sword-like, linear, with a tube-like texture inside and a
width of 2-3mm. The inflorescences spread apart in a cyme way, with
many flower heads - each with 3-10 florets. Stamens are three
capsules in the shape of an acute head and a long trigonal pyramid,
and the size is as long as the perianth segments or a little more.
Bloom time: June-July. |
