Lychnis miguelliana
is a perennial herb 40-80cm in height, with thick stem nodes and a
tinge of purple-black. Leaves are alternate, oval, or oblong-like,
lanceolate, 4-12cm long, with pointed tips and margins with hairs.
Stem tips make approximately 5 cm in diameter vermillion flowers;
petals are five in number, in the shape of an obovate, with two deep
color ramenta at each base. Bloom time: July-October. |
