Millettia japonica
is a deciduous, climbing shrub that inhabits mountain roadsides,
forest fringes, and other areas. Its slender stems go
counterclockwise around plants in the vegetation toward the top. The
leaves of an imparipinnate compound are alternate and 19-25cm long.
Many light yellow to white papilionaceous flowers are borne in
hanging racemes from the sides of new branches. Bloom time:
