Millettia japonica is
a deciduous climbing shrub inhabiting mountain roadsides, forest
fringes, etc., with slender stems going up counterclockwise around
plants in the vegetation toward the top. Leaves are alternate,
19-25cm long, of an imparipinnate compound leaf. Many light
yellow-white papilionaceous flowers are born in hanging racemes from
the sides of new branches. Bloom time: July-August. |
