Oplismenus undulatifolius v. undulatifolius
is a perennial herb 10-30cm tall with slender
stems; the stems' bases crawl long underground, branch, and extend
obliquely upward. Leaves are broad lanceolate, 3-7cm long, 1-1.5cm
wide, with tips pointed, margins somewhat wavy, surfaces with dense
short hairs, bases with long wavy hairs, and thick divaricate hairs
on leaf sheaths. Inflorescences with thick, divaricate coats emerge
6-12cm long, bearing 6-10 short branches with several spikelets.
