Phacellanthus tubiflorum is
a parasitic plant. The whole is fleshy, and stems grow in clusters
from short rhizomes, somewhat thick, with many membranous scale
leaves. Bracts are also membranous and brittle. Flowers set
themselves 5-10 on the stem tops; the flowers are white and turn
yellow later. Corollas are obliquely somewhat erect, long tubular,
2cm long, with tips lip-shaped. Bloom time: May-July. |
