Rotala mexicana: An
annual 3-10cm tall that grows in paddies or wetlands. Leaves are
0.6-1cm long and 1-2mm wide, in a narrow lanceolate shape, with
truncate tips slightly cleft in two. Flowers are light red and tiny,
with no petals and 2-3 stamens. Capsules are spherical,
approximately twice as long as calyxes, and rupture themselves into
three when matured. Bloom time: August-October. |
