Saururus chinensis is a
perennial herb inhabiting marshes or the water's edges, growing up
to 0.6-1m in height, with the whole odor. Leaves are of opposite
phyllotaxis, in the ovate-like cordate shape of 5-15cm in length.
Spikes emerge from axils, 10-15cm long, with many small flowers. As
the season to bloom comes, leaves on the upper part of the stem turn
white and return to the original light green in due course. Bloom
time: June-August. |
