Scleria parvula
is an annual plant inhabiting wetlands, with stems in clusters
25-60cm tall and three broad wings. Blades are flat, measuring
10-20cm in length and 3-5mm in width. Stem tips or axils generate
approximately 3cm long inflorescences and set a relatively large
number of flowers. The fruit is spherical, approximately 2mm in
diameter, glossy, and white with a grid-like pattern of spots. Bloom
time: July-October. |
