Botrychium japonicum: A fern that sprouts in Autumn and winter, and withers in early summer, growing in forests, fields, and mountains. The whole resembles another species, Botrychium ternatum; the leaves are more significant, the stems have sparse hairs, and the trophophyll's pinnule is terminal and sharp.
