Cimicifuga simplex
is a 0.6-1.2 m-high perennial herb inhabiting forests in mountainous
regions. Leaves are of a bi- to triternate compound leaf; the
leaflets measure 3-8cm long, in the shape of an ovate, with uneven
serrations on margins. Many white flowers set themselves on the stem
tips in a raceme. The flowers are bisexual and male. Bloom time:
August-October.
