Luzula plumosa var.
macrocarpa is a perennial herb common on roadsides, fields, and
mountains, growing in clusters without making runners. Flower stalks
are slender and erect, 12-25cm in height. On-stem leaves are 2-3 in
number, and radical leaves are linear with 2-5mm wide, with long
white hairs on margins and tips being hard and obtuse. Flowers bloom
singly on peduncles in umbel-like inflorescences; perianth segments
are lanceolate, with sharp angles, 3mm in length. Bloom time:
