Sagina japonica
is an annual or biennial herb of 2-20cm in height, often seen in
yards or roadsides, and stems with glandular hairs on the upper
parts. Leaves are thick, 0.5-2cm in length, in a linear shape, with
tips pointed. Axils singly set small, about 4mm across, flowers.
Petals, 5 in number, are white, but some occasionally lack because
of degeneration. Bloom time: April-August. |
