Trillium
tschonoskii is a perennial herb that grows in forests,
reaching heights of 20- 40 cm. Leaves are in whorls of three, 10- 18
cm long, in the shape of a rhombus-like broad oval, with pointed
tips. Stem tips set single flowers and open facing sideways; inner
perianth lobes, 3 in number, are petaloid and white, 1.5- 2 cm in
length, and outer ones, also 3 in number, are green, 2- 2.5 cm long,
with pointed tips. Bloom time: April-May.
