Kesuhamasou, or Hepatica nobilis var. pubescens, strongly resembles Hepatica nobilis var. japonica f. variegata. Still, the flower stalks and leaves (both the upper and underside) bear prominent hairs, which characterize this species. H. nobilis var. pubescens inhabits cliffs in the country's semi-shady areas, rooting in crevices in the mountains.
