a perennial, 100-200 cm in height, found in or around wetlands in
mountainous districts. It has radical leaves with petioles
resembling those of Petasites japonicus, in the shape of a
concentric ring, approximately 50cm in size, and with serrations on
the margins. Flower stalks stand erect, forming racemes, and flowers
bloom from the bottom upward. These include 5-9 yellow ligulate
flowers and more than ten tubular flowers. Bloom time:
June-September. |
