Linum dedium var. medium: A
20-80cm-in-height annual, originating in North America, grows in
ponds, wetlands, and the like. Stems are slender, stand erect, and
branch well, with alternate leaves; on lower parts, they are
opposite leaves. The leaves are 1-2cm long and about 3m m wide,
linear-shaped, with tips sharply pointed. Stem tops sparsely set
yellow flowers; petals are five in number, yellow, about 8mm in
diameter; sepals are five, and stamens and pistils are five and one,
respectively. Bloom time: June-September. |
