Linum dedium var. medium: A
20-80 cm in height annual, originating in North America, grows in
ponds, wetlands, and the like. Stems are slender, stand erect, and
branch well, with alternate leaves; on the lower parts, they have
opposite leaves. The leaves are 1-2cm long and approximately 3 mm
wide, linear in shape, with sharply pointed tips. Stem tops sparsely
set yellow flowers; petals are five in number, yellow, about 8mm in
diameter; sepals are five, and stamens and pistils are five and one,
respectively. Bloom time: June-September.
