Linum dedium var. medium: A
20-80cm-in-height annual, originating in North America, grows in
ponds, wetlands, and the like. Stems, slender, stand erect and
branch well, and alternate leaves, while on lower parts, opposite
leaves. The leaves are 1-2cm long and about 3m m wide,
linear-shaped, with tips sharply pointed. Stem tops sparsely set
yellow flowers; petals are five in number, yellow, about 8mm in
diameter; sepals are five, and stamens and pistils are five and one,
respectively. Bloom time: June-September. |
