Physalis angulata var. lanceifolia is
an annual herb originating in North America. Stems grow to 30-90cm
tall and are of fluid retention, with sparse fine hairs on young
parts. Leaves are lanceolate, with serrations on the margins.
Peduncles are 20-30cm long, growing to 30-50cm long in fruiting
time. Calyxes in flowering time are small, 2-3mm long, the lobes are
about 1mm long, and grow big after flowering in a bag to envelop the
sap fruit. Corollas are cupulate and trim, 4-5mm across,
yellow-white, with no purple dots. Bloom time: August-October. |
