Physalis angulata var. lanceifolia is an annual herb
originating in North America. Stems grow to 30-90cm tall and are of
fluid retention, with sparse fine hairs on young parts. Leaves are
lanceolate, with serrations on the margins. Peduncles are long,
20-30cm long, growing to 30-50cm long in fruiting time. Calyxes in
flowering time are small, 2-3mm long, the lobes are about 1mm long,
and grow big after flowering in a bag to envelop the sap fruit.
Corollas are cupulate and trim, 4-5mm across, yellow-white, with no
purple dots. Bloom time: August-October. |
