Arabis serrata var. siikokiana is a perennial herb found
in moist, rocky, graveled hilly districts. It has moderate branches
and grows to 15-50cm in height. Radical leaves are narrowly obovate
and pinnate, 1.5-3cm long, with coarse serrations on the margins.
On-stem leaves are oblong to oval-oblong, 1.5-3.5cm, and bases
become sagittate to embrace the stems, with coarse serrations on
margins. The leaf surfaces and the backsides also have stellate and
branched hairs, mingling some simple ones. Stems apexes deliver
racemose inflorescences with 4-petaled white flowers, petals
measuring 6-10cm in size. Bloom time: April-May. |
