Liparis fujisanensis
is a perennial orchid species found generally on mossy beech trunks
in mountainous regions; stems measure 3-10cm in height and possess
approximately 5 mm in height pseudobulbs at the bases. Leaves exist,
one on either side, each 3-5cm in length. Between the two leaves,
there emerge flower stalks from the sides of pseudobulbs, and
several one-centimeter-in-diameter purple-brown flowers set
themselves on them. Bloom time: May-July. |
