Stellaria aquatica is
a biennial or perennial measuring 20-50 cm tall, often observed
growing in parts of fields and hills. The lower part of the stem
crawls on the ground, and the other factors then diagonally ascend
to a height of 20-50cm; positions close to the nodes have a purple
tinge. The 2-7cm long leaves are oval, with upper parts embracing
the stems. Flowers resemble those of another species,
Stellaria media,
but females' styles are 5 in number. With S.
media, there
are three styles. |
