Stellaria uchiyamana, a
perennial, occurs in shades or edges of deciduous broad-leaf forest
edges. Stems branch, occasionally growing in colonies, and leaves
are broad-ovate, 1-2.5cm long, without petioles. Flowers, white, set
themselves on tips of approximately 4mm long peduncles. Petals are 5
in number, but they look 10-petaled, as they cut in deeply almost
their bases. Bloom time: April-June. |
