Stellaria
uchiyamana, a perennial, occurs in the shade or on the
edges of deciduous broadleaf forests. Stems branch, occasionally
growing in colonies, and leaves are broad-ovate, 1- 2.5 cm long,
without petioles. Flowers are white and set on tips of
approximately 4 mm long peduncles. Petals are 5 in number, but
they look 10-petaled, as they are cut deeply, almost to their
bases. Bloom time: April-June.
