Utricularia aurea is a floating,
submerged, annual plant growing in mesotrophic ponds or waterways,
with stems branching well, and the longest reaches around 1.5m.
Leaves are cleft into three at the bases, and the outward forms an
oval-like lanceolate shape with many insectivorous sacs. Flowers are
light yellow and 6-7mm in diameter; upper lips are erect, and lower
ones are divaricated, flat in a hemispherical shape. Bloom time:
July-November. |
