Utricularia aurea is a
floating, submerged, annual plant, growing in mesotrophic ponds or
waterways, stems branching well and the longest reaching around
1.5m. Leaves are cleft in three at the bases, the outward forms
oval-like lanceolate shape, in which there many insectivorous sacs.
Flowers, light yellow, 6-7mm in diameter; upper lips erect and lower
ones divaricated flat in a hemispherical shape. Bloom time:
July-November. |
