Lamium purpureum f.
albiflorum, a white form of its original species, is a biennial
herb rarely found in the country; stems are square and grow to 10 to
25cm in height. Leaves are of opposite phyllotaxis,1.5-3cm in
length, in a circular-ovate shape, with obtuse serrations on margins
and prominent small veins forming a surface network. The leaves on
the upper portion are dense. Flowers, labiate, about 1cm in length,
closely set themselves on leaf axils. Bloom time: April-May. |
