Lamium purpureum f. albiflorum,
a white form of its original species, is a biennial herb rarely
found in the country. Its stems are square and grow to 10-25cm in
height. Leaves are of opposite phyllotaxis,1.5-3cm long,
circular-ovate, with obtuse serrations on margins and prominent
small veins forming a surface network. The leaves on the upper
portion are dense. Labiate flowers, about 1cm long, are closely set
on leaf axils. Bloom time: April-May. |
