Platanthera hologlottis is a perennial orchid species
found in sunny wetlands, with stems measuring 50-90cm in height.
Leaves, 12 in number, are alternate; those on lower portions are
linearly lanceolate, measuring 10-20cm long. P. hologlottis set many
fragrant white flowers arranged in racemose inflorescences. Sepals
and petals are approximately 5mm in size, lips measure 8mm long, and
spurs are 1cm long - pendant. Bloom time: June-July. |
