Platanthera hologlottis
is a perennial orchid species found in sunny
wetlands, with stems measuring 50-90cm in height. Leaves, 12 in
number, are alternate; those on the lower portions are linearly
lanceolate, measuring 10-20cm long. P. hologlottis has many fragrant
white flowers arranged in racemose inflorescences. Sepals and petals
are approximately 5mm in size, lips measure 8mm long, and spurs are
1cm long, pendant. Bloom time: June-July. |
