Platanthera mandarinorum
is a perennial, terrestrial orchid found in a
sunny grassland measuring 20-50cm in height, with broad, linear
leaves on the lower portion of its stem. The flowers come in a light
yellow-green, arranged in a spike. The spur grows horizontally
backward, being significantly longer, 25-3.5mm, compared with its
taxonomical varieties,
P. mandarinorum var. brachycentron,
7-12mm, and
P. mandarinorum var. neglecta,
11-18mm. Bloom time: Late May or early June. |
