Scutellaria laeteviolacea
is a perennial herb that grows to 5-15cm in height, inhabiting damp
forest locations with 2-4 pairs of triangular-ovate leaves. Bases of
the leaves are succise, 1.5-4cm in length, with hairs on both sides
- the upper sides are glossy, and the other sides are tinging
purple. Inflorescences measure 1-6cm in length; labiate flowers,
about 2cm long, bend at almost right angles at their bases. Bloom
time: May-June. |
