Scutellaria laeteviolacea
is a perennial herb that grows 5-15cm in height, inhabiting damp
forest locations with 2-4 pairs of triangular-ovate leaves. The
bases of the leaves are truncate in shape, measuring 1.5-4cm in
length, with hairs on both sides. The upper sides are glossy, while
the other sides are tinged purple. Inflorescences measure 1-6cm
long; labiate flowers are about 2cm long and bend at almost right
angles at their bases. Bloom time: May-June. |
