Scutellaria laeteviolacea is
a perennial herb that grows 5-15cm in height, inhabiting damp forest
locations with 2-4 pairs of triangular-ovate leaves. Bases of the
leaves are succise, 1.5-4cm in length, with hairs on both sides -
the upper sides are glossy, and the other sides are tinging purple.
Inflorescences measure 1-6cm long; labiate flowers are about 2cm
long and bend at almost right angles at their bases. Bloom time:
May-June. |
