Scutellaria pekinensis
is a perennial herb, 10-25cm in height, that grows in the shade of
trees in mountainous regions, characterized by thick, white, upward-hairing
on its stems. Leaves, with petioles, are ovate-triangular, 1.5-4cm
in length, 1-3cm in width, with tips obtuse, bases succise to
shallowly cordate, and serrations on margins. Inflorescences of
3-6cm long on the stem tips, sparsely set with labiate flowers
facing the same direction - lower lips are longer than the upper
ones. Bloom time: May-June. |
