Aster spathulifolius is
a perennial herb inhabiting coastal area rocks along the coast with
the Tsushima current, the whole having long hairs and glandular
hairs all through. Stems are ligneous at the basal portions; limbs
without setting flowers deliver 3-9cm-long, 1.5-5.5cm-in-width
obovate-like spoon-shaped leaves in a rosette way. On the other
hand, stems that expect flowers to branch well and grow to
approximately 25cm tall, with leaves oblong-like spatulate shape.
Flower heads measure 3.5-4cm in diameter, ligulate corollas being
blue-purple. Bloom time: October-November. |
