Potentilla fragarioides var. major is
a perennial herb, 5-30cm in height, seen in fields and mountains;
the whole is hairy. Leaves are of an imparipinnate compound leaf
with 5-9 leaflets; the terminal leaflets are the largest. Flower
stalks measure 5-30cm in length, bearing cymose inflorescences;
flowers are yellow, 1-1.5cm in length. Bloom time: April-May.
