Persicaria thunderbergii's flower color varies continuously
from deep red purple to white; the pure white ones are called Persicaria
thunderbergii f. albiflora, which are rare. Whitish ones,
however, grow relatively abundant in the locations where the
red-purple majority inhabit. The habitats are characterized by being
constantly damp, such as the edges of water or fringes. Bloom time:
July-October. |
